allright, here's a question. i was doing some research on the fish you've been mentioning and some have said that you can put a discus with certain cichlids-is that true?

man, all these suggestions are great, but i'm not completely sold on anything yet. the cichlid option is the front runner partly because the PH of my tap water is perfect for africans, but i tend to like a variety of fish and from what little i know it doesn't seem like cichlids get along too...

thanks for the advice so far. i like the discus idea, they run about $50 dollars or so around here, so i don't think i could get many. and a cichlid tank would be cool. i have 2 in a smaller aquarium and they're great. i won't be starting this tank until after the new year, so i will have time...

i have 1 harlequin and he loves to school with my zebra danios. he was a loner fer awhile, but know that he's settled into the tank he'll school with just about anything.
