    Pump recommendation

Hello All---hoping I can get a good recommendation. I recently moved from a situation where my water was being topped-off from the basement below up about 5' into the tank. AT my new place, there is no basement, and the RODI unit is T'd off of my washing machine, which is about 15 feet away from...

    Help with Chaeto

My tank is 14 years old....I have always had high Nitrate and Phosphate issues, and have tried everything. I am now back to a refugium, and to that end am using my center compartment in the sump, lighted by a Kessil H160 Tuna Flora. I bought a baseball size (2 of them) bunch of Chaeto and now, a...

    Help with Nitrates

Yes I’ve been hitting all the dead spots … when I first started 2 weeks ago, the water I was siphoning out was quite dirty. Now it’s pretty clean wherever I siphon. I guess I’ll keep doing 30g water changes everyday until the Nitrates go down.

    Help with Nitrates

I’ve been siphoning around the rock everyday.. should I move all of the rocks so I can get under them all? That would be a huge job, but I’ll do it if it’s recommended.

    Help with Nitrates

Over the past 2 weeks, I have lost most of my fish. Gem Tang, Purple Tang, 2 Yellow Tangs, Sohal Tang, Tomato Clown, Wrasse, Powder Blue Tang and a Hippo Tang. When this first started happening, I thought it was Ice, but the fish didn't look like they had been infected with that. Their skin was...

I din't understand why...the only new thing I did was re-start my Ca Rx after having it off for about 2 weeks....I hardly have any fish left...did a water change and will do another tomorrow. Why do Nitrates shoot up all...

    SOS!

I am freaking-out. Yesterday I awoke to a dead wrasse. Ok that happens every so often so I just chalked it up to dying a natural death. This AM I awoke to my Powder Blue, Orange Shoulder, Gem and Purple all dead and others about to be dead. Devastated. My parameters are as follows: Salt: 35...

    NO4/PO3/GFO/Biopellets/NOPOX/Neonitro

Dear All: I have a 180G mixed reef tank, and have had NO3/PO4 issues for years. I am running Carbon, and 2 months ago, started using BRS Biopellets. I am also dosing NOPOX. When I started with the biopellets, I stopped running GFO (in my BRS dual reactor--the other chamber is where the carbon...

    Help with Radion program

I'm hoping to get some good advice from the group. I have a 180g mixed reef tank. My parameters are where they should be and are very stable. I'm a HUGE Zoa fan, but for the life of me, I can't keep them thriving! I've determined that my lighting is the culprit (3 Radion XR30 Pro's). I've fried...

    Need Ca Reactor input

Maybe I don't even need a Ca Reactor? Someone on another forum suggested that I don't need a Ca Reactor at all. These are the specifics of my tank: 190G ALL softies 5 Anenomes 3 Clams (1 6', the other 2 are 2-3" all Maximas) Several Tangs A lot of Ricordia, and Zoos 1 pretty big Acanastra...

    Need Ca Reactor input

Dear All: After much research, I've decided to purchase a Ca Rx for my 190G reef tank. I have mostly softies, 13 or so fish (mostly Tangs), anenomes, etc. all controlled by a Neptune Apex. So far, I have decided to get the following (I am not limiting my budget): Neptune pm1 Neptune pH...
