You should really have a complete test kit.... You might try to find the API Master Test Kit. About 35 bucks in my neck of the woods. Should also read up on the bacteria cycle of aqauriums to help you understand where different parts of the cycle ( Ammonia, NitrIte, NitrAte...... ) are coming...

Update Well I think everything is in it's final spot for the time being. Little to cloudy to get a good idea if I got my spacing and such right. Can't wait till morning to get a better idea. Hope to get some pics up soon after for some input. Also got a few more pieces of wood in there to help...

The boyfirend was smart not to move it from a relationship point of view. We ussually get in a lot of **** for moving something that is not ours.

Using the same heater as you are... works like a charm. Suprised they seem kinda new from what I can see, you would think there would be more companies making them.
