no i have an orange spotted goby and fp clown I dont think they moved back the rock really has less polyps

Is it possible that my yellow polyps are disappearing because they are close to my ricordea? All water parameters are fine I just tested the tank yesterday. I put the ricordea in about 3 weeks ago and recently I noticed less and less polyps near the ricordea.

Wouldn't upgrading the light cause a problem with the heat the 8 watt bulb raises the temp about 3 degrees

I was moving some stuff around in my tank and accidentally hit my plate coral with some live rock. Now the side I hit with the rock seems to be dying. My question is will it continue to die off or will it get better and if it does die will it harm the tank?

I am think of getting a larger tank. I have a 45 gal glass aquarium in my attic it is not reef ready though. My question is could i still set the tank up for salt or would i be better off buying a reef ready tank. If i buy a tank i would probably go 90 gal.

I have a brown algae growing on the surface of my sand. Have sucked out the top layer of sand when doing a water change but it grew back. I also cut back the lighting from 10hrs to 8 hrs. It seems to be growing just in the sand. All parameters are good nitrite 0 nitrate 0 ph 8.2 ammonia 0 alk...
