Do snails considerably add to the bioload of the aquarium? Specifically black mystery snails (1), and Japanese Trap Door snails (~3)? If I add them to a 30 gallon tank with 3 Malaysian trumpet snails, with fish, it won't throw anything off? Cheers.

I've read that with planted tanks there's no need to use the carbon insert, since it takes away some of the nutrients from the water for the plants. Just checking others' opinions!
