i can't get my calcium up over 170-180 and my nitrates are spikeing every couple of days but i can't figure out why i changed the feeding of my fish to 2 small porsions a day can anyone help?

The question I have is...Ok i put in my lr in my aquarium (35 gallon hex)my ammonia is of the chart. i did this 2 days ago. i did a 30% water change and keep doseing it with cycle and its not comeing down. is there any other tricks to bring it down, and will this afect my lr?

Hello if anyone can help me i have a few questions i started the cycle of the aquarium a week a go now my ph level is alittle higher then 8.5 and lower then 9.0 the ammonia level was 1.0. Now I am wonderin if these are good levels to get baterial growth and the ph low enough for life to life...
