Has it been done? It must be done.

You could try using fishing line and a weight to hold the legos down... I definately wanna see the finished product... Maybe something like the dragon they have at Downtown Disney that goes in and out of the water....

To rinse or not to rinse :)

I agree, dont rinse unless flow is restricted. The media might look dirty, but most of the time its the bacteria.

Has anybody used Ammonia Alert by Seachem? Is it effective? Does it last 1 year? Do you recommend it over a normal drip test?

    White haze after every PWC

No, theyre not bubbles. I add the water from the hose, into a tank where it is dechlorinated, then into the tank. I make sure to avoid stirring up the water as much as possible. As far as KH ang GH, I dont test for it, I got the readings once, a while ago, and thats it. I didnt test for...

    White haze after every PWC

After every PWC I make in my tank my water gets a white haze in it a couple hours later. It eventually clears up the next day and doesnt seem to affect the fish. I just want to know why this happens EVERY time I do a PWC!:bad-words:

    filter media question

I really dont think you can have too much bio filtration. But as far as mechanical goes look on drsfosterandsmith.com or Big Al's, you should get a good idea of what you need and go out and find it at a local LFS to save on shipping...

    cleaning plastic plants

I think just scrubbing them well with a soft brush or maybe a toothbrush should work. Just use water if you dont want to run any more risks in your tank, I know youve been having problems lately...

    filter media question

First off, I dont think you need both filters on your tank. Second, Purigen is a good idea and make sure you get a good sponge filter for some mechanical and biological filtration. With the price you probably paid for the two Emporers you probably couldve spent a little more and gotten a...

    Constipation

Yeah the article mentioned peas. Can they be regular frozen-food-section peas or do they have to be a special kind? Also, do I wash them and throw them in frozen or thawed out?

    Angelfish w/ Guppies?

Well I have one large Black Angelfish that seems to be nocturnal and shy. I have put plants and objects so that it can hide but it doesn't seem to come out. I was thinking of trading it in for some other, more lively, fish. Thanks for the input!

I have gotten different answers on this from compatibility charts from both LiveAquaria.com and Petco. What does everyone think? Does anybody have them living together? I have 2 angelfish and would like to get a few guppies for color and elegance in the tank.

    Best Food ??

Sorry, you do use live foods. Seems like you're doing a good job of feeding already. You might also want to try New Life Spectrum foods. Ive heard good things about them.

    Best Food ??

Tetra Tropical Crisps are a great all around food. But good variety is the key to good health. So foods high in protein as well as foods high in fiber and greens, fed on a schedule would be best. You could even throw some color enhancers like Tetra Microcrabs that have Cyclop-Eeze and live or...
