    Had five of these. One melted down in tank, one the electric cord seperated at the heater. Stuck my hand in tank half asleep in AM. Standing on a concrete floor. BZZZZZZZ....Lit me up. Grabbed my meter to find source. The other stuck on and found temp @ 94 deg. Lost my luna wrasse.

    Electrical Protection - Power outage breaker?

    I concur. Go to Staples and get a UPS for a computer and plug that in between your power source and filters. Do you notice air bubbles constantly from the discharge pipes??

    How to wire 2 float switches??

    the upper switch is always making contact when in the lower position. the lower switch makes contact when float lowers. if the lower switch does not break the upper switch will break w/ water rising. You will have to make the switches react to the levels as described to accomplish this.

    wire in series w/ one slightly higher. Assumption is circuit made when float down. higher one making circuit unless float rises. Hope this helps.

    Regarding the nylon- A new one rinsed in fresh water is better than anld one w/ possibly a touch of woolite residue. IMO..
