How do I get my hippo tanks into a QT?

Yes, everyone gets along well. No new additions, the hippos were the newest fish (along with the yellow tang) but that was over a month + ago. As for the Groupers, I'm planning to move them out with the clown when they get a bit bigger.

How do I get my hippo tanks into a QT?

I have two hippo tangs that have ich, and I'm worried they are going to die. ITs getting worse and worse, but I can't seem to catch them. I have a 150g reef, with LOTS of hiding places. They are very skittish though, so there is 0 change of getting them with a net. Should I tear the rocks...

Help! All my fish look stunned, and washed out colour after a water change!

I did a water change of about 35 gallons today on my 150g tank, and came back to my office around 10pm, and turned on the room light (the halides has turned off already) and the I notice my niger triger was a very very odd colour and were acting very weird. The niger trigger was swimming...

Spots on my hippo tang? Fresh water bath?

Any suggestions then? I really don't want to see this fish get sick(er). The tank has corals, so I can't put in any chemicals. Any ideas for treating it in a QT?

Spots on my hippo tang? Fresh water bath?

I got some pictures of my tangs that have some spots on them. Difficult to see, but each ones has about 4-5 on either side. 3+ weeks ago each had just 1 or 2 spots. Any ideas on what I should do? They seem to be scratching themselves on rocks and stuff on occasion as well Thoughts?

Hippo tang with one white spot on his side - what to do?

Will do. It only scares me because of how he has been rubbing him self on the rocks. I had a tang when I first got the tank that was doing that, and it came down with an aweful case of ich later on and died. I'd like to avoid a repeat of that obviously.

    Thinking about a Bamboo shark?

Well it was sharks that actually got me in to salt water tanks, and 150g and 35+ fish later I'm thinking of getting another tank for my new office. I really like the idea of having a shark and wanted to know what good tank mates are for them? I've seen videos on the net with all sorts of fish...

Hippo tang with one white spot on his side - what to do?

tough to get a picture - the glass of my tank is scratched (long story, but from before I bought it). Spot is 1/8th of a inch in size, maybe smaller - white in colour. right in the middle of the fish on the side. I just got the tangs (two hippos) this past weekend. They are about 3" long...

Hippo tang with one white spot on his side - what to do?

I have a hippo tang that has been scratching himself(or herself) on the rocks lately. I looked at it and there seems to be a white spot on it's side. What should I do? I do have corals in the tank, and no quarantine tank right now; though i could make one with a plastic tub or something. Thoughts?

Help! Eel jumping out of tank - what to do?

The only reason I didn't wanna go with glass is I've been told it will reduce the light from my lamps. Maybe not visually, but in terms of the amount of light the corals will receive. Thought?

What are the odds of an eel surviving 15-30 minutes on the floor?

Well I just made a pretty elaborate cover with wire mesh. not as clean as I'd like - but for now it will work.

What are the odds of an eel surviving 15-30 minutes on the floor?

I have a blue ribbon eel that was on the floor for I'm guessing about 15-30 minutes. I put him back in the water when I saw him move around a bit. He did swim around a bit - I tried to clean some of the guck off of him (which he didn't like). He swam around some more, and now he is hiding...

Help! Eel jumping out of tank - what to do?

I recently got a gorgeous blue ribbon eel who was very very active when I put him in the tank last night. the LFS (of course) mentioned nothing about them being jumpers (though I should have done my own research as well). The lights turned on this morning and sure enough he was active as ever...

    Playing with fire? Mixing Triggers?

Hmmm - how well would the sailfin do in the predator tank? He is pretty agressive to his current tank-mates. Perhaps I should move him and bring in the 3 small tangs all at once (hippo, yellow & another small sailfin?)
