So Plans are still on hold due to wedding funding but my Grandpa did come through once again. He called and said he has a filter for me and he was sending with my mom to give to me. well long story short. I now have a fluval 405 Filter. Guess I can check the filter off my list.

IMO it is more time consuming than difficult. Question is how do you want to spend your time? Going to the LFS, or mixing it yourself?

I was trying to find that tiny Brittle star this morning and I found another one that was bigger! bout the size of a Quarter. the first one is about the size of a pinky fingernail.

Awesome! thanks for the Goby advice. Im probably gonna wait about to more weeks before I get the Goby. Was thinking mabey a cleaner shrimp after that and then consider my tanks stocked! I would love a Dwarf Flame Angel(Mabey to big for tank) or Coral Beauty, but that may be over stocking?

So I got some frozen brine shrimp today and i was wondering about preparing it for my clowns. Do I just break of a chunk and drop it in the tank, or thaw it out and get the excess crap off it first? I figure the second option is better.

it has 2 T8 - 18 Watt lamps. I want to upgrade but the hood itself seriously limits my options. im currently researching what I can do.
