T5 does sound good but I saw the JBJ 150w Viper MH light and some of the guys here say it's a really good light for corals(if you plan on going that way) but you might need a fan...
Ok I figured it out and got a skimmer goin plus, added 13lbs of purple fiji rock. Still cycling though, but any advice on chemicals would help... started all this on 3-3-09 so it's really new

:rolleyes::confused::? So we got this Nano and are excited to get it going, so far I put a 3" layer of bermuda olite and water been cycling for 3 days. Any thoughts would help.....looking to do a mini refuguim in the back, the box said "easy convesion" but dose not say HOW?????
:confused:The Nano I got says I can turn the back of my tank into a mini refugium...ON THE BOX = "easy refugium conversion" with a pic of the filter media box. My problem is it never shows you how....please help don't want bad alge to set in
We have a 2g reef, i'll post pics some time, pictotope 3g kit has a nice combo light that works well for us, you got to order it or find a dealer who will take it out of box. about 25-30 bucks
I got a 28g CF and i've found its good to leave the two sides part full, up to the bottom of the mid box, if you shut off your pumps and watch them you'll see why....
