Knew it was too good to be true. Nitrates shot back up to 40 ppm. Did a 20% water change. Cycling goes on.

Well, without testing it every 5 minutes it is kind of difficult. IN the morning it was .5 and went to 1.0 during the day. Did a water change as soon as that and high nitrate levels were found. Good news is that as of this morning, ammonia and nitrites are at 0 and nitrates are at 20 ppm.

Could that cause my nitrite to nitrate bacteria to recycle. Just hope I am not doing something to cause it to keep stalling. Then again, I already did that so hopefully this is the last time.

All the levels were before the WC. It was late and I was exhausted from traveling all day so I did not test after the WC last night. New levels this morning Ammonia - .5 Nitrites - .5 Nitrates - 10ppm Just keep testing is what I am deducting from all the advice. WC if it keeps going up.
