Ok so ive had my new tank set up for a couple months now and my water is great amonia 0 nitrites and nitrate bolth 0 ive done some water changes and all but what is the rule with changing the filter cartrage in the pump ( its a Aqeon 30 on a 26 gal tank)

nice, do you guys just stack the live rock or should they be glued? Id like to get some if i can find a good source here.

the Damsels are doing fine verry happy. im goin gto look for some cleaners maybe some snails or crabs. see how they do before i add more fish. Actually ive got to find a good store I got my tank from petco and they dont have a large selection of fish or any live rock and plants.

Well my amonia came down to 0 last week then my nitrite came to 0 the nirtates were high but after water changes its all down to 0s :D

so now after 9 days of testing. first test was amonia 1 nitrite .25 nitrate 0 2 days ago I had amonia 2 plus (maybe) Nitrite 5 nitrate 2 tonite it is amonia 1 nitrite 5 nitrate 40. from the shade of the test (API) it loks like 40 maybe more, it was a dark shade of orange not yellow like b4...

this may sound stupid but being new to this Im wondering what the proper way to change tank water is withoug making a mess and cloudy tank? do you dip it out or siphon it out? and pour it in or what? this is my fisrt tank sence I was a kid and fist SW. thanks for you help:confused:

What would be good inhabitants with CC in my tank? and the rock is a good size one I dont think id have room for much more unless I remove it first. on the light its a floresnt one that came with the tank. thank for any info folks

Hi Jose the tank was running for a week. im not sure about the cycle. the store said the crushed coral bed would be better to start the tank. how would i tell if it cycled? my fish all seem happy but i havnt seen the yellow tang eat. the clecrk said to put sew weed salad strips on the suction...
