    Diatoms ?

    Brown rusty spots are starting to appear on my tank glass. My tank is on its 4th week of cycle. Its still a new tank with just live rocks. If its diatoms do i have to wipe it off with a sponge or just let it stay till there's no more phosphates/silicates left :roll:

    The skimmer should be the first in your shopping list ! That's what i've learnt from a bit of my experience and more from reading tons of marine keeping articles :)

    Great website, Thanks for the tip. Somehow i'm getting discouraged about keeping anenomes. I think i'm gonna go for some hardy soft coral instead and then progress on once i gained more experience..

    WOW, thanks for the advice guys. I'm not really worried about the clowns. I just find anemones attractive. I'm gonna read up more on these guys before deciding to bring them home. :D
