    Cheap LED solution???

The lights looked great but the drivers kept failing on me so I switched lighting. As for the color, I had the 20000k's and they were more like a 14000k.

    They are wired separately.

    Cheap LED solution???

My second driver failed on the 50watt lights. Still haven't received another driver from the seller on the first one that failed. Pretty frustrating so I think I'm going to go a different route. Not worth the trouble.

    Cheap LED solution???

Heard the fans on those Taotronics can be pretty loud. I pretty much have my setup silent as can be and would hate to have those fans ruin it lol. Are they that loud?

    Cheap LED solution???

I should be adding some frags this weekend. Unfortunately it will be all lps (which is what I prefer) but I'm going to see if I can get a cheap sps frag to see how these lights do. Although these lights look fantastic, my gut feeling is telling me that you will need quite a bit of the 50 watts...

    Cheap LED solution???

I don't think it has anything to do with not wanting to post progression shots. Other than the original poster, most of us have just bought these lights and have yet to really try them. Myself included as I am just finishing up a cycle.

    Cheap LED solution???

Anyone have any ideas on a different way to mount these in a canopy? Maybe some kind of light rail where they can slide left to right. I have them mounted directly into the top of my canopy but the mounting bars that are on the lights are pretty flimsy.

    Shrimp Cycle

Ive done the shrimp method numerous times to cycle tanks. Always worked fine with no problems. Well, 2 weeks ago I added a shrimp to my new 125 gallon tank and its still not decaying. Very weird as it has always started to decay within a week in the past. Anyone else have this happen? Any reason...

    Cheap LED solution???

Not using them because the 3 50watt 20000k's are plenty and the color spectrum is perfect. I originally bought them because I thought the 20000k's would be too blue. Figured the 12000's would lessen the blue color.

    Cheap LED solution???

I actually have 3 of the 20w 12000k's that I ordered to go with my 50's. Definitely not going to use them so if you are interested send me a pm.

    Cheap LED solution???

Finally got the lights installed. Not as bright as I thought it would be. Seems real similar to 3 x 150 watt metal halide brightness. I do however love the color of the lights. Looks just like Phoenix 14000l halide bulbs.

    overflows

The CPR overflow is not the best out there. If the aqualifter pump happens to fail you are looking at a huge mess. I would recommend the Lifereef hob overflow or even the eshopps one. If they are setup correctly they will never loose siphon and there is no pump necessary.

What do you guys think of 3D tank backgrounds?

You can also use the flat back ones where it doesn't take up a lot of room and you don't have to worry about water getting behind.

Yeah, they actually do get here fast. 3-5 days. Only problem is I missed DHL yesterday. Now I have to wait until Monday lol. Well, patience is a virtue in this hobby so I guess I'm used to it :)

Heres the link: 50W Cool White 20000K LED FloodLight Waterproof 85-265v AC Black Shell Lamp A++ | eBay The guy told me that they are not as blue as a normal 20000k so I'm hoping they will be a nice 14,000k look. We shall see. I may not even need the 3, 12000k's.

Just ordered 3, 50w 20000k's and 3, 20w 12000k's. Anxious to see how they look on my new 125 gallon. Will post pics once I have them up.
