    Overstocked Tank?

They just started breed and fight, I guess it is time to find homes for the breeding ones. The temperature problem started when I moved the incoming water spout closer to the heater. it goes up and down 8 degrees. I have spare so I will replace it tonight. I have a digital thermomiter also...

Okay...I Have HAD It With Water Changes...

I tend be a little ocd so I have to try to enjoy things that aren't perfect. Sometimes it great just to let it go. I feel bad for you that this has become such a negative experience. I also use one of those things that the hose attaches to the sink. It is perfect. I also had the plumber put...

    Finding homes for Angel Fish

I didn't do anything. In fact, I hoped it would never happen (I knew better). They are so pretty with their pearl scales. Hopefully I can find homes for them.

    Finding homes for Angel Fish

Well, it finally happened... My 10 angel fish have started breeding/fighting. What is the best way to find homes for my gold/pearl scale angels? They are healthy and pretty. Also, how many are reasonable in a 65 gallon tank? I would like to keep 4 if that is reasonable. The LPS that I...

    Overstocked Tank?

I have 10 angels in a 65 gallon tank (I know it will not last forever but right now they are ok.) One pair has layed eggs a couple of times but are not taking over the tank. How do I find new homes for the breeding fish when the time comes? My question is about filtration. I have an Eheim...

They aren't fighting yet. One pair layed eggs, I pulled the eggs and all the fish are doing fine.

    Angel Fish Stocking Question

I have a bunch of angels. Everyone one on this forum has freaked out about it. So far my guys are good and get along but experience says once the angels start breeding all heck breaks loose. I do think since mine were all the same size and from the same place I have been given a little more...

    Cycling Tank with Seachem Stability

I had perfect results using Safestart. Never a problem with any chemistry. And, I put 20 small angels in the day I started the tank. Would I do this today? NO. But it did work perfectly and none of my fish died from the water. Hope you continue to have good results.

How much light for FW fish (no plants)?

I personally need lots of light.. actually had SAD when I lived up north. But my angels are from a kind of murky place so I was just curious if there was a scientific answer. They get some light from the room. I was curious specifically about turning on the light over the tank for a certain...

How much light for FW fish (no plants)?

My tank is in a fairly dark place. Do my fish need the lights turned on to be healthy? They are all angels and seen pretty healthy without the lights on on a regular schedule. No plantings to think about. Any advice?

    Newbie FO Tank..Eek!

I don't know of this applies to salt water but... I had 0 nitrates until I was told to really, really shake the #2 bottle because sometimes it settles. Try shaking for several minutes then measure. It made a difference in my readings. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

    How to feed frozen Bloodworms

I have read I should put them in water and thaw, and I have seen people throw a frozen block in the tank and let the fish chase it. What is correct?

    Angels in 65 gallon

The previous post said "cool DIY work" and I was not certain what they meant except, of course, it was a compliment.

    Angels in 65 gallon

I know what DIY means in general but what does it mean in reference to a fish tank? Do people "decorate" tanks for living? I wonder if these fish all being from the same "litter" is helping them get along?

    Angels in 65 gallon

Based on what everyone has said, they will start fighting eventually. I am going to enjoy the peace while i can.

    Angels in 65 gallon

Thanks for the kudos. I have always had slightly cloudy water. I have backed down the feeding and now my water is perfectly clear. The fish beg ALL THE TIME. They don't seem to be growing as fast, but none are fighting so all is good.

    Angels in 65 gallon

I changed the angle of the water tube and it is now making bubbles. The fish are playing.. I know they think the bubbles are food but it is cool to watch. Before this I had the input shooting across the top of the water and the fish were taking rides on the current. I am the one who had the...
