just a quick comment -- I have 2 clown loaches-- and when the are 'resting' or laying on their side looking like they are dead==I said 'they are faking me out' I also recently invested in 2 kuhli loaches & 2 do jo loaches. My married daughter wonders why I want to buy fish that look like worms!!

I read the link & the picture sure does look like what I seen today. I would think the irredisent shark or the striped raphael would be more inclined to eat the flounder.

I must have 'strange' pictus cats--mine have never hide. I have 2 that are 2-yrs old. The only fish that hide 'big time' are the striped & spotted raphaels. The raphaels get very 'hyper' when you move their hiding place

I have a striped & a spotted raphael catfish. I noticed last nite when I everybody that my striped raphael looks'bloated' or like it is pregnant. What could be the situation?? Thanks in advance

I am not sure I have what you are referring to but it was called an African Knife fish--has 2 wisker like 'jobbys' by it's mouth-not defined tail but narrows at the tail end. Kinda of a interesting fish!! Mine is in with serpa tetras, neon tetras, & white fins tetras. Nobody disappeared yet...

Last summer I had the same thought that a 'hot tub' would make a good pond. But I don't have one. My thoughts were to just leave it as is and not put any of it in the gound. Usually they have a pretty decent 'surround' don't they. I'd be curious as to how many gallons of water they hold.
