But if its from dirty water then surely my danio would have it? They are both common diseases in these fish so surely the danio would have dropsy aswell? no

so you killed him? How did that work? You put some water in the freezer until partially frozen and then put him in it and he died?? Is the fish in pain with dropsy?

i dont think he has dropsy - just incase any of my fish do i know what to look out for. Just reading up abit thats all. Well, he's kinda just plump. eyes arent sticking out and he's not pineconee :P Whitedevil - yeah!! lmao

Hey, I was wondering the other day if my dwarf gourami had dropsy because he is kinds plump but then i was wondering if it was just him becoming his full grown shape. I found something that said they thrash as they die from dropsy? What is this 'thrashing?'

bs6749 - so they wont breed below sort of 60 degrees celcius? or farenheit? I WASNT wanting to breed really. By them moving more slow, this isnt harming them in any way or stressing them in any way is it? Getting some tomorrow i think :)

Thanks for all the advice, I do belive the tank is big enough for them but as they grow they will need to be rehomed to another tank, Biorbs are reccommended only for small fish and for fish that arent going to produce alot of waste. I will see what i'm going to do. :)

Thanks, When i think i havent done that bad. 2 died with no imput from me - they had a disease from the LFS, They Had Dropsy. And my danio only died from having a fight. If i leave my tank to stabilize for a month - what should i do about the shrimp? All i would have is shrimp and the paradise.
