    Is all green bad?

Are you adding any calciuim addidtives? Also the PH seems to be a little low? DO you have any red or pink corraline in the tank to start with. SOmetimes seeding it with a rock with it on it helps, I recall back when I started mine I took a tooth brush infront of a power head and it really...

newbie needs help deciding which FISH to get

I agree with melosu! Drop 1 goby and I personally think 1 tang in a 75 gallon. Especially if you want corals. If you want to go FOWLR that is fine. With corals the less fish the better.

    Tank Progression

Looks like you got the right equipment BUT... that copper has me worried! ( You might be a little light on the circulation) Once you add copper , it will absorb in your rock and substrate and be released and it will kill your corals. I would be very careful about the fish you put in there...

    New corals

Read, Read, REad, DO as much research as possible. What are some of your tank dimensions. What kind of skimmer, and lights do you have, What size is your tank? What knd of filtration do you have? Has the tank cycled? How long has it been established? Doesnt look like you have any...

Whats the best way to clean your crushed coral?

I would get rid of it myself. It Really will keep lots of debris in it. But if you must keep it, get a large strainer and rinse it with a hose. Leave it out in the sun, to bleach, and you wont have to boil it.

can blue hippo tangs be agresive toward each other???

1 tang in a tank that size is all I would go with. 2 are going to make keeping your parameters in check a challenge. If you have to go with 2 make sure you go with different types and body shapes as tangs are very territorial. PLUS can outgrow a tank very quickly.

problems with my tank after i moved

RODI is a necessity! I would think that the tap water is adding to your problems. Any one in your area sell it where you could buy some? Ask the fish store in your area. I would do a 10-20% water change with the new rodi water. I think that is the root of your problem

    Tang eating to much?

Tangs can eat you out of house and home. Make sure you limit what they eat. Just to add to the already good advice here. You can make your own food. I alternated NORI every 3rd day, and my mixture twice a week. (mixture of various fish, shrimp, nori, garlic, mixed in a blender) Than I...

    Reef Lighting Question

I would definately skip the clam with your current lighting. You probably want at a minimum 2x175 mh but the 2 X 250's are a better choice. You can probably pick up a nice used hood pretty reasonable

Moving your tank when you move. Possible?

I moved a 200 gallon 7 hours. Asheville to Harrisonburg, Va. I used large rubbermaid tubs filled with LR and water, I put the corals in coolers with some caulerpa. Put fish in coolers with battery operated air pump and caulerpa. You have to watch the heat this time of year. More water you...
