I can say that I never even thought about doing that. Not that is a bad thing but when my fish die, I either flush or if too big they go out to the trash can.
I sent OP a PM but have not heard anything back. OP has not been back on forum since 3/22/11. I did see an ad on Craigslist with some of the same pic's. He might have sold most already on CL.
Fishless cycle is the best way to go. I have had the same thing happen with the water clearing and then a day or two later cloud up. Don't worry about that. It will clear up in a few days. Just keep watching and testing your water.
