    Invasion of the Slugs

Alright! I'll feed them the leaves. Thanks a lot! I've put some cucumber bait in there , closed the lights and put the room in the dark. I can't wait to see if they'll take the bait. I really want them out of there. Also got myself a glass jar ready to receive them. :P

    Invasion of the Slugs

Awesome! That's perfect, I got plenty veggies I don't eat. :P Celery works? I'm a bit curious about them now, is there any way I can put them into a glass pot and keep them as extra pets? Ha. I'll definitely be more careful about plants from now on. That was a creepy unexpected event. Thanks...

    Invasion of the Slugs

Well whatever snail it was that made these things sure made an army of babies in my tank... And if you think that spiral looked like a malaysian trumpet, it soons like I'm gonna have to do 'em in... I wonder, any way I can bait any I might miss in the senseless squishing I am about to give them?

    Invasion of the Slugs

Oh they're slow. Veryyy slow. As in it took me a while to notice their movement. At first I thought they were some sort of egg... they sound like bad news. :S

I snapped some pictures of the grossities for your viewing displeasure. They give me goosebumps. I got about 20 lurking in there.

    Invasion of the Slugs

Hey folks! I... um, I got my tank, see, and I HAVE NO IDEA where they came from (Probably came from new plants actually... sigh.)... but I have these transparent slug things going around on my tank's windows. I have no idea what these even ARE! They're transparent, a few millimeters in length...

    Is this fishie sick?

Every week, sometimes every two weeks if the prior weekend was a pain.

    Is this fishie sick?

There's pretty much no nitrites like I said. It's always down to negligible levels. And it doesn't look like cloudy eyes. It's really just two spots on the eyes, at the front of them. Nearly identical.

    Is this fishie sick?

A white skirt tetra. But it's colored artificially.

    Is this fishie sick?

Let's see... Right now I got pH at 6.5 (a bit lower probably, my lighting to read tests is bad right now), I got no ammonia, less than 0.1 nitrites, and less than 5 mg/L of nitrates. My guess is that the nitrates used to be higher than that, but well, that's from a brand new waterchange.

    Is this fishie sick?

hello folks, I just returned from cleaning up my tank and I noticed that one of my fellahs is looking strange... It's like it has two spots at the same area on both eyes. It's at the front, it's two elongated stripes. Do you think it's an illness?? Sorry about the images, they're the best I...

    My fish are all dying!

yes I think I saw something in the booklet about gang valves to regulate the airflow... I'll have to look it up this weekend at the pet store. Hopefully that will work!

    My fish are all dying!

This one is an Aquaclear bubbler... and it sure is! The smaller danio was struggling against the current. (The bigger, older one was struggling too but less) There's no way it can get close to the area where the bubbler is! If it tries, you can see the little guy just swimming furiously...

    My fish are all dying!

Tell me about it! I returned it. The convo with the fish guy went something like this... Me:"Yea uh, I bought this thing and it's pretty noisy..." Clerk:"No kidding. Everything by these guys are." So I bought an Aquaclear bubbler instead. It's more silent...ish. :P But I disconnected it...

    My fish are all dying!

WEll it's not touching anything...as in it's standing on a table, rattling about... Even in my hand it's noisy! And not just a little noise. heck's coming to town.

    My fish are all dying!

I got home and my algae eater was dead. :( Poor little fellah. So out of the 7, there's 4 left. Two danios (Yay, my old one is still alive after all!) and the two white tetras. They aren't surface breathing anymore. Of the three fishes I bought sunday, there's just one left alive. I bought a...

Hm then I better just find a pipette that is more washable than this one-piece one.

    My fish are all dying!

Well I just woke up and had to do some fishing, one of the danios was dead. Thankfully, it wasn't stuck in the filter. It's too early for me to know accurately (Brain's still in dream mode. I had a dream about elves on a school bus. Why the heck are there elves on a school bus?) but I think it...

    My fish are all dying!

Yes but considering I did 4 water changes in one day to get my 5-10... Is that bad??? Could it harm the fish? Oh well at this point I can just let nature take its course. I have work tomorrow. Thank you SO MUCH for the help tonight folks. I'll do a tally tomorrow to see how the night went.

    My fish are all dying!

Yowza. Nitrate's down somewhere between 5 and 10. Why such a drastic change? I'm starting to wonder if my pipette was clean! (I used another one cuz I couldn't find the one I was using!!)

    My fish are all dying!

I did a third water change. Well, fourth of the night. (that's bad, right?) It was a small one, I just did a 10%.... I'm waiting for the results now, it's 5 minutes but I see a difference. The color change is less drastic as time goes by. I got some Cycle on hand by the way. It's a nitrifier. I...
