Ok so doing the 50% water change got the amm reading down to between 0.25 and 0.50 ppm so thats a lot better.

Ok so did a water change last night about 20% and just got done taking more readings ....and they are about exactly the same......amm. - 1.0 ppm nitrite 0.25 ppm nitrate 5.0 ppm ph stable 8.0-8.2...... Wthell....shouldnt these be changing a little over the weeks?? I also added another filter...

Been cycling for about 4 weeks now, have a 55 gallon, with a fluval 305, temp 77-79 degrees, ph a lil on the high but stable and constant at about 8.0-8.2, After the 5th day of tank setup added 2 african cichlids to help the bio level but shoudve prob. just added like 10 feeders.... anyways on...
