    Six Line and Pseudo

Thanks =) I just acutally built that back in September. Before I had a 75G with a 30G sump/fuge combo. This setup is a 125G display, 100G sump, I turned the 75G into a fuge, then I use a 30G cube for a prop tank and have a 24G Aquapod with my LTAs. I had been collecting gear and tanks for so...

    Six Line and Pseudo

The Pseudochromis are tank bred. I bought them as a mated pair and they are super mellow. Not only that they are out and about all the time. Aside from them I have a mated pair of black percs and a purple tang. The six line does really well in this tank, its definately my favorite fish...

    New Reef Project

Heyas AA! Its been a while since I poked my head in here. My system took a bad knock a while back and it burned me out on reef keeping for a while. I downsized my system to a 75G and kept it up and going mostly because I had so much invested I didn't have the heart to tear it all down. Then...

    BIG Bag!

Actually its hard to believe but seaworld does use IO for its salt water. "Most public aquariums located inland use artificial seawater. Among these are Sea World at Orlando, Florida and the John G. Shedd Aquarium at Chicago, Illinois. Formerly, the latter used natural seawater held in...

    Anyone got a Wave2K

Saw this gadget and it sparked a little tickle of "gadget fever" I love my big tunze, but the 2K looks pretty sweet. Anyone using/know someone who has? What do you think? thanks!

    sponges

One thing to add to what steve said, if you have a bunch on new LR I would still scrub 3/4 of it off unless your curing it outside because dead sponges in quantity will make a room unbearable to sit in for the smell. They are so nasty when they start to decompose. Anything less than a big...

    phosphate/silicate remover recomendations

They are portable. A trashcan in the garage with the unit sititng on top and your water hose hooked up would work. The majority of RO/DI units sold come with water hose adapters as the standard hookup.

Sabae Yellow with Purple tips....now Brown but mine isn't?

I have a feeling you were sold a bleached anemone. I suggest starting here with this example from Bob Fenner and researching further into what you need to do to try and save your Crispa *adding the link would help* http://www.wetwebmedia.com/coloredanemones.htm

    30G Anemonarium

The Green LTA shares the cube with a purple LTA, 2 porcelain crabs, 10 sexy shrimp, and two pink skunk clowns. I will eventually encrust the upper rock work with lots of zoos.

    30G Anemonarium

Hey everyone, here is a couple pics of the progression of my anemone tank. Its a 30G oceanic cube with 30lbs of LR and a 4" oolite bed. I have it tied into my 105G system and 30G fuge. 1st pic is of the tank after it was hooked up. Had 10K lights and some coral I needed to take to LFS for...

Sabae Yellow with Purple tips....now Brown but mine isn't?

It is not uncommon for anemones to be sold "bleached" to provide a more unique looking appearance to the end buyer. Could be coloring back up to its true color (brown) or could be that your friend isn't providing it with enough light to keep its color.

    Has anyone ordered from www.saltwaterfish.com

They are a fine online fish store. Would like to see them stop selling a few things, but all in all the shipping, prices, and service is pretty top notch. They are my 2nd most ordered from aside from Doc mac.

    is PVC cement safe?

Get oateys "black label" if you want to be certain, however any PVC cement that has "for use with potable water" is totally safe once its dried. Good luck!

    keep rose anemone alive

The RBTA or any BTA has a primary diet of crustaceans. fresh raw shrimp for your grocer soaked in some vitamins is the best thing to feed it. Don't peel off the shell, it will remove all the nutrients it needs from the chitin and then expell it. Light is only important for keeping color, the...

    New Coral Propagation Tank (PICS)

Real nice Rev, im very impressed. Im incorporating something similar myself when I do my big in-wall in december. Kudos to you for getting up an aquaculture, the more people do it, the longer this affliction of ours will thrive.

    quick question about corals

Typically your okay if you keep softies with softies. The important thing is keeping softies and stonies in the right balance. If your losing new aquisitions frequently but have healthy established corals, its likely a sign of chemical warfare.

    Splitting Ricordia Mushrooms

The ricordia follow the same rules that most corals do, 1st priority is to preserve itself, whatever strength is left after that goes to healing injuries, whats left over then goes to growth, and finally the excess goes to reproduction. I would probablly check to make sure that the ricordea...
