The reason the tang keeps getting ich is because it is in the small tank. It keeps swimming back and forth and doesn't have the room it needs to swim. I'm not bashing you at all I'm just saying that's the reason and will keep being the reason until it gets into the new tank Any way a friend...

If you're meaning coral-sustaining LEDs I agree with purevil in that it's a waste. If you're talking something like the marineland stuff there's no problem. FOWLR and FO lighting is all about what looks good to you since there's nothing needing any light in it

I personally would not attempt to acclimate the molly, but I suppose if you do it probably wouldn't be smart enough to know since it's not a part of their natural habitat. And that's assuming you got a wild caught molly

My tank has been up for over a year and my rocks are no where near covered in coralline, IMO that has nothing to do with the lights.
