Because of the customers, as I saw on my last trip to the LFS, who bring in little Joey for a fish, by a 3 gallon starter aquarium kit and a goldfish. Lack of knowledge = easy sales.

Bench points in an ESPN league still SHOW the points those you didn't play get. We have the total of you bench players as a tie breaker. In 4 years running the league it's only come into play once. It really makes you think more about your WHOLE team than just your starters. Fractional points...

Your guess is incorrect with what is being said. The bioload will be insane once those godies and the pleco get bigger. That's what everyone is trying to warn you of. Good luck though. :p

What they said. My 55 has 2 goldies, a pleco, and 4 panda corys. As they grow I may have to sell though if I don't find a bigger aquarium. It'll suck if/when the day comes to let them go.

LOL. I know, so did mine. Obviously all leagues have started. I don't want in. I wanted to know how many player slots each team has. I can't fathom using 2 of my spots for D's. One will sit and one will get an AVG of 6 points or so. Wasted space to me.

That's a silly statement. By your theory I could run a 20G aquarium with a 40g filtration system with however many fish I want, say 15 goldies and 3 common plecos, and be ok. As stated, just b/c your filter is rated for more than the quantity of water your tank holds doesn't mean it's rated for...

How are your levels? This is just a guideline but keep watch. I'm not an expert by any means but this seems like a lot of fish. Plecos produce some serious waste. In my 55g I have 2 goldies, 4 panda corys, and 1 pleco. The BN plecos can grow to 5" I believe. You are probably ok, but just keep...

Look at the link I posted. Good weights on there. If you're running WITH the joints simply get a sheet of plywood, paint it black, trim to a decent size, and set your stand and aquarium on it thus spanning multiple joints. Spread the base surface out, if that makes sense.

Try that method then. They'll hide until they feel it's safe.
