It's actually tinted green, I can see it when I change the water in my white bucket.

My water is turning green after two days of changing more than 50%. Its turning a light green tint, and also looks cloudy, I have a low tech tank with plants. Please.... I'm going insane..... I've changed more than 50% percent of water twice in a week. Any suggestions, will a UV sterilizer/...

Where would the best area be to put an aquaclear 300 filter in a 55g planted aquarium, is it best to locate it in the back glass to either left or right side or center of the tank? :puppydogeyes:

So if the substrate is covered with plants, theres no need to vac, and the plants will use the leftover fish food and their poop as nutrients?

I wanted to know how do you clean a tank with fine substrate, and also with groundcovers just planted and spreading without uprooting or harming it, or with the substrate fully covered already? Can you vac? Is there a certain way to clean the tank? :flasingsmile:

Thank you guys for all your advise, I really appreciate it. Are there any ground covers that will thrive with the lights I have now and no co2? Ireally wanted to have the hc, but from what you guys have been telling me, it wouldn't be a good idea.

Is it really turface? And if so, is it good for plants? so the lights I have now are not good enough for dwarf baby tears, or any plants, even low light plants?

I recently purchased a 55 gallon tank that came with the lights, the bulb read marineland f40t10, i believe that means is 40 watts, t-10. I also got a t-5 double light fixture that came with a colormax, and a 6700k bulb, both are 28 watts each, would that be enough light or do I need to...
