i have been doing water changes recently like 2 20% or more a week i have a sand bed its a 55g tank and i have one aquaeon HOB filter rated for 55 it has a bag of carbon and bio material and thrn theres another bag of bio material covered with coral bones i put those in there to bring the ph up...

nice tank where did u get the rocks?

if u have the space might as well in my experience they are always are more lively when they have a few of the same species

well thank you guys for the advice but unfortunately my friend doesnt listen and panicked and bought tons of random meds i told him not to buy and most of his fish have died due to his choice... and i3k i know i told him that two ..good news is he is setting up a 55 gallon for the loach

all glass aquarium brand or marine land stealth shatter proof i like both and both shut off when desired temp is reached..i believe most have that feature though

my friends 20 gallon has some problems. he recently purchased a dojo loach from petco and put it in his tank ..i have seen these before and know they almost always have disease so im pretty sure it was the source anyway it died a day later ..after passing the disease to multiple other fish so...

i am thinking of buying a 65 gallon acrylic tank on craigslist it is the tank a stand canopy a light and a filter for 200 i am wondering what risks am i facing in buying a used acrylic tank? would i have to or be able to reseal anything? if so what price am i looking at for such a job? thanks -David

thanks for everyones input i added em after cleaning them in hot water and soaking for about an hour in it to see f they dissolved much..im gonna monitor the ph and if it changes ill just have to take them out
