I could also donate them to the local fish store! I was hoping to find someone who can drive over to my house and pick them up! Sorry, but shipping them is not an option.

My New 20 gallon Freshwater Tank

This is the 20 gallon tank! You're right! There is 1 large ugly plastic plant which I have now removed and added some additional real plants. I have also added two baby angel fish. The flourite gravel does not do a good job of holding down the plants, however. I bought some regular gravel and...

    Flourite Gravel

This flourite gravel is not very heavy so it does not hold down the plants very well. I'm considering placing some other type of gravel over the flourite to give more weight. Trying to vacuum out some uneaten food causes the plants to float up. Any suggestions?

    ph

I bought 10 gallons of spring bottled water and 4 gallons of distilled. The distilled is very acidic which brings down the ph in the spring water. Combining all that with the water in my 12 gal tank I ended up with the 20 gal tank havin about a 7.2 ph. That way I don't have to worry about the...

    ph

I brought home a beautiful male gourami last year, put in the tank with 2 angelfish, and it died the next day. I thought it was the wrong ph even though my angelfish were doing fine. The ph was around 8; since then I've kept the ph at 7-7.2 and the angelfish lay eggs and have grown big. I...

    Flourite Gravel

The dust has settled and I finally got the ph where I wanted it by moving 1 gallon of the water from the old 12 gallon tank into the new 20 gallon tank and then moving 1 gallon from the new tank into the old tank! In this way my two angelfish became acclamated to the ph, which is now around...

    Flourite Gravel

Does the 'dust' cause a problem for the fish? I have just set up a 20 gal and added the Flourite gravel (after washing and washing). It's been more than 24 hours and the dust had settled, but I added some plants and the dust is swirling again. I'm afraid to add any fish. Should I place some...
