    White crusty build-up

    substrate/bottom cleaning

    How do you clean the substrate? Right now I have big (8-10 mm) glass bits. But if I change to appropriate gravel it will be sucked up in the water changer/filter tube thingy. Should I switch substrates? is it that important? Ed

    Stowaway snail

    I bought 2 live plants and am considering more. One must have a tiny, tiny snail (so small that it's hard to tell if it is a snail) and now it's running around the tank and all seems fine. Should I be concerned about this OR about buying more plants? The 2 mollies seem entertained. Ed

    tinfoil barbs - what do you know?

    geophagus juratari?!?!?

    how long until a crayfish outside a tank starts sticking?

    Is it supposed to have spots?

    It's worse now - she's barely moving
