What Made You Want A Freshwater Aquarium?

No apology needed, I'm glad you told me! I guess I should've known better than to just take the pet store's word for it. I think I'll stick around these forums when I have questions from now on.

Moving cross-country. Worth it to keep gravel?

Thanks JohnPaul, that's not a bad idea (asking for the gunk). I think you're right, it's a bit silly for me to lug this gravel 3,000 miles when it'd require quite a bit of babysitting just to keep the bacteria alive. I think I'll just start over in PA w/ some hopefully-donated gunk!

What Made You Want A Freshwater Aquarium?

Aww man, now that bums me out. My plan was to set up the aquarium with a couple loaches all over again at my next place, but I don't want them to be uncomfortable. :( Looks like I'll have to explore other options.

What Made You Want A Freshwater Aquarium?

I only have a 32ish gallon tank, but I had to donate my loaches today because I'm moving next week. Is that too small a tank for loaches? The folks at the fish place didn't think it was an issue?

Having an aquarium has always relaxed me, sometimes watching fish is all I need to put the stress of the day behind me! Clown loaches always make me laugh...

Moving cross-country. Worth it to keep gravel?

Hi folks! First time poster, long-time fish lover. This might be a stupid question, fair warning. I'm moving from WA to PA as of Monday, so today I had the sad task of donating my fishies to the local pet store. I have a 32ish-gallon tank that I'm taking with me, but I'm wondering if keeping...
