    You can also get a bottle and make it concentrated. If you use .25 grms and add 10 ounces of water. Mix we'll let sit over night and the use one ounce per gal

    They are. But it's just a personal preference. I also have aquaclear and they work good as long as the water level is not low from the lip then they sound like water fall decorations

    I have a fluval fx5 on my 75 it came with 3 connector valves so if needed be I can use the xtra one to fill or flush my tank.

    Have you thought about the shower head? I use to do the same then used a power head to move the water from a laundry basket to tank.

    There is no specific width. I just recommend that your stand fits the perimeter of your tank. I have a DIY stand with plywood top overhanging 4" from the back with some holes to run my hoses.

    If you want to do something crazy. Find a coupling that will fit your shower head and add a piece of pipe that will fit your hose. This will help you fill your tank. To remove water you just use gravity.

    I would recommend you do a water test before you set it up. Scratches don't make a difference look for chips and cracks.
