T5 all the way across for about 7.5 hours a day. The light is roughly 18" over the anemone. He settled last night and has stayed put. Seems fine, just wanted other opinions. Should I run the lights longer? I just don't want too much algae growing.

do you not think that the filter by itself without live rock will support the biofiltering needs for the tank, without live rock?

next question (and thanks again in advancing for keeping up with my thread)... with the canister filter that I have already (eheim pro III 2075) doing a lot of the bio filtering, and the reef octopus skimming, what would you think about doing a sump just for live rock. basically no chambers...

you think I should return the damsels and try and cycle the tank with some raw shrimp? or will those damsels cycle the tank? could I just drop some frozen krill in the tank with the damsels? do you think the shark could have "infected" the water with anything?

that was a good read. I looked in to that method before adding the damsels. Had I read that particular article first, I think I would have gone with the already dead shrimp method. But, at this point I have 9 damsels in the tank. Your thoughts? Just let it cycle as is?
