It appears so. I kept a Silvershark for almost 10 years. Bought it when new to the hobby recommended by the pet shop to a 15 gallon beginner tank... It never became bigger than 10 cm, despite it was eventually moved to a 142 gallon tank I bought after a couple of years. It never looked unhealthy...

I didn't understand all of it, so i will answer on what i understood. When having Symphysodon discus in your tank, have in mind that they don't like much competition about their food. 4-5 of them at least. Avoid large catfishes(?) like Hypostomus plecostomus. Discus don't like to much...

I didn't understand some of them, thats why i said it. Didn't mean to offend. By the way, some Apistogramma Cacatuoides would have been a nice addition to the stock.
