    Not all of your sand has to be "live" sand remember. You can just get one back of live and then use Southdown for the rest of it. :)

    Look at what I found

    I have almost picked one up a couple times, but my head kept telling me it was too much to spend and I was trying to save for a reef.... I would ask about their guarantee/ refund policy. Fishyfanatic's story is a real bummer. :(

    1000 Gph too much for 55Gal?

    I thought the rule was that you multiply the capacity of the tank times 5 to get the proper amount of gph, (someone please set me straight if this is wrong) which means you're quite a bit over. So unless you are keeping a lot of animals/corals that need a lot of flow, it wouldn't hurt to cut...
