You likely will hardly ever see the Peppermint shrimps they are a very shy creature. The Midas should be more social in the next day or two.

Could you not "line" the inside with thin acrylic and still use the ply for support. Most of the cost of the acrylic is caused when you go thicker. Might be an idea. It may be easier to seal and last longer.

Depends on your set up if the pumps can catch air or not when they do you get a bubble storm and often get snagged in LR or in algae. Just a thought

with aptaisia x you want to kill the pumps so execces dosn't get sent all over the place and possibly harm your good corals. a couple of pepermint shrimp and light feeding should take care of them.

You might be able to just you will kill your ro cartridge quickly. And that will get pricy fast.

The cheaper systems usually have a higher waste output than the expensive systems that have booster pumps like my vertex unit that runs about 1:1 but it will set you back about $350 CAD. But the convince of having ro/di plumbed throughout the house is unbeatable hehe.
