I need help trying to find out what these little worm like creatures are and mean. They are white, very small, tend to grow in a small coil position, they look like small worms, but are coiled like a snake. They just started growing everywhere in my tank. Please help!!

Really cool, but I have a question about this method. Is there any drawbacks to the continual use of vodka as a maintenance method for Nitrate levels? I know the article mentions about using it on a regular basis, but I can't help wonder about the long term effects.

Right, I have the rubberband all the way at the top. So I guess its at max skimming.

I don't how to exactly answer that question. It's set at the factory setting with half of the cup exposed, but I have a drain fitting attachment that runs into a large container. The cup is barely half full and the container is empty.
