The dark green hair algae is starting to get crazy in my tank. I have a 40 marine and starting get lots of algae. My phosphates are zero and my nitrates are less than 5 ppm. I have only polyps and soft corals and they are all thriving. My macro algae is as well. I am using two (96) watt PC's...

I got this on a piece of live rock from my favorite local fish store. It has grown enormously in 2 months. Has any one ever seen any algae like this?

i just bought a couple of 250w ebo-jager heaters and discovered a water level line, and not to immerse below it. I thought these heaters were totally submersible. Is any one using them submersed? diverdude 8O

Does anyone know specifically what harm does phosphates do to a tank, besides cause an algae bloom? My level is very high, and I can not seem to keep it down. Everything else is within acceptable limits or "0".
