    Well, I gave the GHA a haircut... It's getting paler but not disappearing. The cloudiness is getting better, and NO MORE film algae! Dunno what happened, but it all seems good

    Ok, maintenance day!! Did a PWC, washed filter sock and 2 baffle filter thingies. My salinity is somewhat low (1.024) so I turned off the ATO and will manually add saltwater to raise it slowly. Copepods are growing like crazy ever since I've changed my refugium light, which is good cuz I finally...

    The one joy13 recommended is the one I have. I did not have any problems, BUT I would set urs up 1-2 weeks before you leave to ensure smooth operation. Later on, if you have a bigger tank, thus devise is gonna be standard equipment or else u will be topping of every 2 hrs by hand ;)

    That's the guy I have :) some call it tuxedo urchin BTW coffee: as for the reactor I have not seen an improvement in algae (no surprise there, phos really must be zero), BUT my water looks much crisper and clearer... Definitely liking that

    Definitely get an ATO!!! That gets the stress of the person of having to come to your house every single day. Pre-portion the food for them, otherwise you have to use dry food bc I doubt there is automated frozen food feeders (bc they need to keep the food frozen)

    It says on liveaquariua that "It is known to nip at small-polyped stony coral and clam mantles"...
