Theres a couple of updates in this post. I have recently added a marinland 350 power filter. I also have my aqua tech one that came with it. So I think I have plenty of filtration now. I have also added a bn pelco. He seems to be doing great. I have had him for 3 months now.

He is a regular male. He's doing good, he's been eating away algae.

Ok thanks but one more question, should I clean the decorations. My decorations always seem to grow algae on them fast. Also should I just leave the filter alone or should I clean certain parts. Haha thanks for being patient with me, I just really want to know what I'm doing

Thanks for the info. I believe you about the filters never needing to be changed, but I heard that after a while the carbon can release ammonia or something like that, I'm guessing that's the gimmick. I was also wondering does carbon keep the water clearer? So I will definitly do all of those...

I have checked it and I think I got it so 40$ dollars later I saved 4 out of the 5 fish :(. It wasn't the one I was talking about either. Well hopefully he does good in the big fish tank in the sky :(.

Ya maybe there is a place not to far away i wouldn't want to travel more then 80 miles to get it. I cant really do this though until I have more space unfortunately, so i will have a lot of time to look around. It just seems like it would be really fun.
