So what are the light levels for corals? whats considered low lighting and whats medium, high, etc in watts per gallon ratio

so whats the deal with canister filters and saltwater tanks? Good? Bad? ok? iam running a 45 gallon with 2 huge hang on power filters would like to get rid of them. any help insight suggestions :confused:
