I think that list of fish is the kinds he would like to have, not what he already has..he's not planning on buying all of them, just asking which of that list would be good...right?

I know that after an ich outbreak, the main tank should be empty of fish for 8+ weeks so the parasite completes its life cycle..or something like that....is this the general rule for all diseases?

I think if you have any major problems with your tank in general its going to be because its TOO CROWDED and people have told you that repeatedly...

I lost a clownfish this weekend too..i think to velvet but i only had him for about...oo 24 hours so maybe its just that im a fish killer!! :cry: :? :(

i dont think its stress related...hes doing really bad now, i think hes probably dying-WHAT THE $%^& IS WRONG WITH MY TANK? this is the second fish that has died in there (with about 5 months between them) everythng ive been testing for checks out good...ammonia-0 nitrite-0 nitrate-5...

no but i could probably get one set up fairly quickly...this clown is the only fish in the tank though, so i'm not worried about a parasite problem spreading...theres nothing for it to spread to! i do have live rock in the main tank though, does that mean that IF he has a parasite problem I...

also what should i use to meausre? and is it possible for the clown to look sort of bad jsut because of stress or is that a seperate problem?

hmm well i do have a swing arm...but how should i lower it? just do a water change and add water with a lower salinity? is that the only thing i should change? ....i mean, am i testing for everything that needs to be tested?

It's the second day now, he's been in there since about 7:00 last night and still he swims RIGHT at the surface...and he looks like he's struggling too, bobbing around all funny (but the water movement is stronger at the surface b/c of the kind of filter I use so that might be why) also he seems...

Well ive had the tank set up for over 5 weeks now and have been able to fall asleep, but its taking me longer to fall asleep with the noise than it used to. And the skimmer is working-the tray has foam , its just that the whirring noise sort of bothers me and i would rather just get rid of it...

Can I leave my skimmer on during the day and turn it off at night or does it have to run 24/7? The sound it makes keeps me from sleeping at night, because the tank is right next to my bed. Grr...

o...well i knew they did well in little groups but i never really realized how necessary it was...the tank is only 30 gal. So sounds like I will be getting clowns as my first fish...i was kinda scared to get them first but if the tank is fine then everything will be ok right?? hmm....

ph-8.2 hmm yea, I knew it's best to get them at the same time, i just wasnt sure if i would be able to. If nothing else, i will likely just start off the tank with some green chromis.

If you have a trigger in your tank that's pretty good sized, he would likely eat the mantis, or so I have been told.
