    75 Gallon Stocklist Help

I personally love rummy nose and serape tetras which are scrappy and tolerate less than perfect conditions... Bolivian Rams are great as a pair of show fish... The idea would be to get a large schoal of maybe 20 rummy nose for the pure beauty... 7-11 serape tetras for scale and 3 Bolivian rams...

    My new jungle

So I've been wanting to move the attention off the camboba in the middle and I wanted to continue using baby tears... So today to quell my sorrow over computer issues I bought myself a new piece of driftwood along with some larger stem bunches of baby tears... Not sure how much I like it...

55Gal w/ Amazon Swords and Cichlids....

Didn't you just make my point for me... Two T8s are indeed equal to the light output of one T5 except that the T5 is half the size and uses half the energy so in the space that you put two of those T8s you could have four T5s and you'll double your output for the exact same monthly bill. And...

55Gal w/ Amazon Swords and Cichlids....

If you're buying brand new lights you shouldnt have bought t8s that's like going to best buy to get a cassette player... T5s are the standard now or you could do some high output CFL bulbs all of which will give you more lighting in less space for less monthly cost...

    My letter to Petco

I feel like I'm on a never-ending cycle of buy- die- exchange with them. Theyve sold me so many fish that die within days it's absurd... I'd blame myself except every single fish I got at the LFS is still alive and swimming... Luckily their exchange policy is pretty easy...

    Mutant Frog from Petco

Now I'm not 100% sure this isn't just standard aquatic frog fare but see if you can't see a difference between the web structure of this frog's feet... One side looks like two Trekkie salutes on top of each other and the other looks like a regular frog foot... Anyone else get a mutant pet from...

    My new jungle

Which brings me to an interesting personal thought... My guideline for any tank terrestrial or aquatic is that if your animals can't successfully escape from you then they'll never truly feel safe... I have lizards and snakes that all burrow naturally and I like to give them enough earth so if...

He seems to be doing ok but the way he hides I'd hate to have him rot for three days till I think to look for him... Tearing up my planted tank in the meanwhile

    My new jungle

Truthfully I'm a bit of a darwinist when it comes to the tank... And although that might seem like a lot of fish I'd say other than the clown loaches which went in too early all of the animals I got were clearly the sick/week ones of the bunch courtesy of bad conditions on petco's end... From my...

I think you are correct... Could also be a cobalt I'm going to get a replacement partner for him today. I have a pretty extensive recently renovated petco about three blocks away and an amazing lfs about 20 blocks away and I always get lazy and purchase fish at petco which other than my Serpae...

Tank Wars Whos got the coolest tank

Thank you... shes my labor of love and its got me thinking about opening my own shop here in manhattan that would exclusively cater to planted FW tanks. I have a bunch of empty tanks I just need to get some lighting and I'm gonna focus more on biotope creation...

Tank Wars Whos got the coolest tank

Let's be fair guys... This is a planted tank. First shot is 1 week in when I was feeling minimal... Now we're at about a month...split up the microsword and added some DIY CO2 to try and encourage that... Not bad for my first underwater tank...

    125g Planted Build Thread

So first off congrats on the pearling... It's funny that your original tank is a 40 gallon as that's what I'm starting with and like you the next thing I'm looking at is a 125... Go big or go home right... Anyway regarding lighting I'd say think outside the box a bit. You seem like you might be...

    My new jungle

The tank is a bit full livestock wise but here in the east village it seems fitting. The stable currently is as follows: 6 zebra danyos (2 leapord morph) 4 rummy nose tetras 7 serpae tetras 9 tiger barb (3 green morph all small) 4 guppies (all male) 2 swordtail 1 platy 1 blue dwarf gourami 1...
