Sorry about the bad pics. Tank is bright and he moves around a lot. Parameters are normal. Spots just popped up after I changed the substrate, but all other fish are fine.

Also the shot glass thing seems like a good idea cause the bubbles get caught. I'm pretty sure normal co2 diffusers do the same thing

Nah as long as it's the organic potting mix. It doesn't have any chemical fertilizers or anything like that in it.

I have a 25g dirt tank and it's going nuts. I use miracle grow organic potting mix and then a gravel cap. Make sure that the dirt is the organic kind. Also look on YouTube for dustinsfishtanks, he's the dirt king and will show you everything you need to know.

I was doing a water change today and saw this, I put my hand in the tank and it feels like jelly.

One of my buddies told me that it's not bad to have a cichlid tank overstocked because it spreads out the aggression, and if you over filter it then it should fine. That's just what I heard at least :p

Still though, I don't wanna cramp them. They get pretty big and need to be in schools
