Thanks.. Think I found something I can use! I was looking strictly in fish tank light sections. Based on your info I found superbrightleds.com :)

    led strips?

Hey guys I'm looking for some blue led strips that are small that I can superglue to the inside of a ten gallon aquarium hood. Does not need to be coral growing lights. Just looking for cheap ones to provide the aesthetic blue light look for glofish and glo plants. Any links would be appreciated!

    my fish tattoo

I added onto it. A mom heart with bubbles coming out Of the arteries to tie it to the fish. It's so cool. I'm thinking an anchor near my elbow like it's holding all these pieces (and future pieces) down. Ideas welcome.

    my fish tattoo

Awesome! I've got a mom tattoo coming up next on a real heart. I'm going to have bubbles coming out of the heart artery leading up to the clownfish.. To tie them together. This is my first adventure into tattoos.

Dedication, right? But it's just the start of a bunch of things that mean alot to me in my life I'll be getting turned into a half sleeve. The artist is brad Downam at studio b in Marion Indiana. This guy is simply amazing! I just brought in a picture of clownfish and an anemone and this...

    Scott's 55 gallon reef build

My next big investment will be a camera to properly capture my tanks colors. Cell phone camera isn't cutting it anymore. I found a few asterina stars today. Torch coral, tiny gsp patch, and tiny frag of a purple birdsnest coral.

water changes: thinking outside the bucket

I really like my breakaway reservoir idea. Just unhook, roll away, replace. Repeat. Not automatic, but simple.

water changes: thinking outside the bucket

If you had two pumps that pumped the same gph you could put it on a timer at the same time. One pumping to the drain line, the other pumping into the tank. There would be a lot if variables there though.

water changes: thinking outside the bucket

I had a couple ideas for water changing solutions last night. Was wondering if these are employed somewhere or if they are feasible. Also general discussion about water changing ideas is encouraged! 1: a system to change just a few gallons per day. This would eliminate fluctuations in...

Scott's 4 gallon pico reef build

Black back wall, black stand, black sand, set on the lowest blue light setting possible. All of the plants are glowing plants. Of course my phone camera won't correctly show it how it is in real life. It looks really awesome though and it's right beside my bed. With the glowing fish it is...

Scott's 4 gallon pico reef build

This is now being turned into a glofish tank. Got uninterested with saltwater in the Pico. The par 38 bulb on blues only being dimmable works GREAT for this purpose.

    New build

Yeah too much light is a real hassle. I would start high and then build your way up to higher. I have two 120 watt taotronics on a 55 and it bleaches everything. Have to keep stuff on the very bottom even with a roll of window tint over them. Nice deal on the skimmer!

newb to freshwater and planted tanks

Thanks guys. Got two new plants today. Done sort if melon sword and a purplish red vine-y looking plant. It's very pretty. I'm hate the naja grass but my mom loves it. In losing interest because it covers everything and blocks the light and colors. I really hope she will get rid of it. :(
