    base rock ?

    I was wondering if the base rock for sale (sometimes up to $5/lb) is the same stuff I see being dug up all up and down Florida. Are there any reasons not to use the free stuff? Some of what I have seen out in the glades looks better than what's for sale. This will be my first jump into salt...

    hello everybody

    As the name suggests I have a number of Firemouth cichilids, housed in a lightly planted 55g tank. I also have a 20g qt and 2 10 gallon tanks one for fiddler crabs and one for mbuna fry (from my bother in-law). In the future I plan on starting a salt water fowlr. (we all know how plans go)...
