    Betta owners

Bettas are my favorite. A big snail will liven up the tank, and you could even get some Cory cats if you had some coverage. They have really cute logs at petsmart and Cory's would love to go through it, and theyre always at the bottom and relatively quick. Get sinking food for them and you'll...

    Catfish tank mates

Would big kissing gouramis be fine? Or silver dollars perhaps? I know they're vegetarians So they wouldn't compete for his food.

    Catfish tank mates

I meant that if there were minnows in the tank, they'd try to get them before he (the catfish) would, because he's a pretty slow guy and comes out at night.

    Catfish tank mates

See that comes back to the part where I wonder if he could handle the water temp change. And I wouldn't get oscars because they compete for food so much, while the catfish takes them as he pleases.

    Catfish tank mates

I have a bullhead catfish around 6 inches long in a fifty five gallon tank. Since moving him into such a bigger aquarium, the tank seems so bare except for the minnows and gold fish I have for him to eat. I was looking at different fish and thought a couple silver dollars would be a great...

    My new betta

DO NOT feed peas. It seriously messes up their intestines, seeing as how they are carnivorous. Like i did it cause I thought they loved them and it got sick and got swim bladder issues and I looked up on it and it's only for serious cases of constipation, ad that's still risky :/

My HM Betta :D Don't know his color, guess?

Awe he looks like my Monty! Cept monty always tears his fins, and is a lot smaller. Darn these half-moons and their delicate tails!

what to do with an empty one gallon?

OOOOOH! I know what you should do. It'd be PERFECT for a Marino ball :3 They dont seem interesting, but if the water is good and well, they'll apparently move! People in japan love them and keep them as pets.

    Preparing sand

Clean as in like when theres already fish and such, or like to be able to put it in the tank. Oh gosh -.- I sure had an experience. I sat in my bathtub for HOURS trying to clean my sand. I got regular play ground sand and was going to use it in my five gallon. First: I used a t shirt, thinking...

Any small apartment DIYs? Perhaps food?

I suppose.... But I've never had problems like that. You could grow it in your own buckets, just put out water and let it sit and eventually and hopefully there will be larva :D I guess just don't let anyone pee in it or somethin lol. But they eat it in the wild as fry, so ...
