    Tap water ok?

    I run a 75 gal tank that was fo for awhile. I am using tap water from my well with few problems until I added LR to the tank. I am constantly fighting brown algae and increased water changes. RO/DI filter is now on order.

    You can use a torch to heat any size pvc either grey or white but I don't know how well it will last under pressure. So long as it is just an overflow I don't think you will have a problem. Be sure to keep the torch moving or you will have a scorch mark and heat a length longer than the bend...

    This is easy. Just let your tank get nasty ugly long enough and she will tell you to do what it takes to get it right!     I have a 75 gal tank with a filstar xp3. It has been running about 14 months now. The filstar is an easy way to clean filters but I found it is extremely limiting so I am working on putting in a sump with a refugium. Run a search on the threads here on refugium. You will find lots of help...
