Thanks for the response, yeah they look very similar apart from Kristy says they are out of the water while mine are inside. Who knows, i did research into what they may be but have not found anything which may identify them. Hopefully my Ammo Shrimp will eat them :)

As said above 7.8 is fine, there are many natural ways to lower PH if your really that determined. Firstly add Bog/Drift wood and/or add some sort of "pete" either under substrate or in filter media baskets

I think Fluval it is, noise is not really a problem best price i found the fluval 305 is £75 and best price of a Eheim Pro 3 2073 is £125. So there is quite a different in price

i see, basically the cons for both are Fluval = 4 Pads high maintenance Eheim = Expensive Still in a ditch about what make you go with :/

okey thanks , both brands have pretty much same spec for similar models, Eheim's are alot more expensive but "apparently" perform better and more reliable, any experience or opinions on this? Thanks
