    Question about Fry tank

So I have decided to try to keep some of my cichlid fry in a separate tank. I have tried letting them grow in main tank, but in the past year I have probably had 7 batches or more and have only 1 that survived to over an inch. So I setup and cycled a little 10gal next to my 75g. by the time...

From the pic I would agree Venustus, I have one in one of my tanks great looking fish when they get larger.

    Mixing cichlids

Yes you really need to do some rehoming, and research. Sounds like you want more fish in the tank so I would very very quickly re home the Terrors Jack dempseys, and keep the jewels. If you do this you could add a few silver dollars or barbs and a couple more jewels or something along those...

Help I have a BIG Bully

Well peacocks get 4+ inches, they need a larger tank 40 gallon minimum Imo. The behavior your describing is completely normal territorial behavior.

    Mixing cichlids

You got a lot going on in there. I believe the two green terrors alone would be tough in a 55g. Got any pics of the unknowns?

    Cichlids and tiger barbs?

If your just saying mixed africans. Imo barbs would be food or stressed to death within two weeks.

    Best Pleco for Algae control

I am a big fan of bristlenose plecos, they do a great job at algae control. I have three of them, my largest is probably 7" I think they can get a little larger, but not to much I would guess 8-9 at rare tops.

Anyone know do golden mystery snails start of dark in color? I have had 2 goldens for about a month, now found two tiny black mystery looking snails. Wondering if I had some cling ons to plants or did I have breeding.

    African cichlid species?

A pain when lfs doesn't know what their talking about. I don't know about others, but I have kept my one Hap (venustus) with my mbuna tank very happily she is second in command in my tank next to male Kenya. And yes yours looks like a livingstoni.

    Birthing/Holding Tank

I would think so, I have done it before with a mollie and a platy. They were fine seems its normally the males harassing the females when their close to dropping fry. Good luck

    Live bearer fry food

I have normally just powdered flake, but I like your plan might give that a try.

    Teacher's Fishless Cycle

The ace hardware janitor stuff is great, but just a heads up you wont need hardly any of it to get your tank up to 4 ppm. I would suggest adding a teaspoon at a time or less. Anyways good luck glad to see you r doing a fishless cycle now.
