    Harlequin Tuskfish vs Sunset Wrasse

I've heard that harlequin tusks eat them too.

    Now the regals gone...

Hawaiian cleaner wrasses tend to die in captivity as they are obligate parasite eaters. Chances are yours will not eat prepared food, though that's not to say it won't happen. Most people who have ones live long lives have several 100 gallon super stocked tanks with plenty of parasites to pick...

    redsea's 34g Reef Build

When you say white on the zoas do you mean white balls? That means it's probably zoa pox and even dipping them in coral rx or what have you doesn't work.

What Would you Put in a 265g? (SW)

Definitely a group of anthias, maybe six or so. Then I'd get a few tangs and large wrasses. Then of course there's the clownfish and other fellows that stay around the rockwork.

Finally Gonna go Saltwater - 29 Gallon build

Very nice 240. Would look amazing with some saltwater in it ;). But yea. Going straight from freshwater to a 240 salt would be a stretch for anybody regardless of funds.

    Can I coral?

Yea, pass on xenia and gsp here as well; too pervasive. Try out mushrooms, palys and some zoanthids, ought to do okay.

Finally Gonna go Saltwater - 29 Gallon build

The ones with large displays often sell water. If I had a large tank I'd mix my own but the stuff they use in their 1k gallon display is the same they sell so it seems to be good stuff. The free 10 gallons with a 10 gallon purchase is promotional though really and they pretty much just want...

    algae in tank

Sounds like you are rushing into this. Adding a bigger clean up crew will not help. At 1.5 weeks, the tank is still getting balanced and you are going to see lots of algae and diatoms. Patience is key.

    Tank2379 60G Cube Build

Go for a Turbinaria peltata eventually. Super hardy and in my opinion one of the most alluring LPS out there

    Man-Eating Clownfish

I put my hands in the tank a tad too much to get away with feeding beforehand every time :p

    Identity help?

Definitely not a feather duster. I don't think it's a majano or aiptasia, as I've had majanos in my tank and they don't really look like that. Some sort of nem most likely though.

before shelling out the cash, i just have one last questoin (sorry)

If you get a 29 cube there will be wires in the water from the pump. Pretty sure for most heaters though the wire comes out the top, which shouldn't be submerged in most cases. To start a cycle, I'd personally dose pure ammonia and add some live rock or just bottled bacteria from an LFS. when...

    Snail Cleanup Crew

I prefer ceriths as they can right themselves and are less conspicuous but eh, they both eat algae. Nassarius are the only inverts in my tank that I feel contribute majorly though.

    Help with toadstool

My bet is allelopathy. Some corals simply won't get along and will engage in chemical warfare, causing harm even if no visible sweeper tentacles come into contact. Really not much you can do if that is the case, just have to avoid incompatible corals in the future. I may very well be wrong...

    Little help?

Have you checked your nitrates and ammonia? Sorry to say but it's a terrible idea to add a fish almost immediately after a whole tank of fish dies; there is certainly going to be a high amount of ammonia. Unless you did a water change I blame the blenny's death on ammonia. Has anything leaked...

Finally Gonna go Saltwater - 29 Gallon build

$4lb if it's cured is a good deal. The stuff at my LFS is 5.50 a pound cured which is considerably more, but pretty much every piece has a tiny colony or two on it. Even if it's not cured $4 is still nice especially since you can pick out each piece yourself. You can just cycle with pure...

29 gal FOWLR 1st stock and tank mods. Pics

I use a pinch of new life spectrum thera regular formula pellets. They are small enough for my magenta dottyback as well as all other inhabitants to eat so they're a safe bet.

Clean up crew suggestions for a 30g FOWLR

Don't need a DSB for nassarius. in fact, if the bed is only between 1"-2", they keep it sparkly white. One of mine is a little annoying though, as it always pops up from under my Fungiid and makes him retract a bit at the ends.

    Man-Eating Clownfish

Glad it wasn't my hawkfish doing it; that guy could probably leave blood.

Hat are some good soft corals

If you only ever plan on soft corals...mushrooms are hardy as are many Palythoas.

please let me know what you think of my biocube so far ?

Very nice. I would add an acitinic LED strip, would add some color I believe. I added a few 50/50 strips and acitinics so I could get some more light demanding fellows in my cube and the white/yellow tint is gone and replaced with shimmering blue.

    seahorses

Don't recommend a seahorse for a start. Start off with a FOWLR using reef safe fish and as your know-how improves try your hand at corals. If you are dead set on nothing but seahorses might wanna hold off for a while.

    Do I HAVE to have a sump/refugium?

I highly recommend 'Reef Invertebrates' along with Fishguy. Bob Fenner answers questions on WWM as well and has proven himself a wealth of information, very reliable guy.
